Bezarius Glenn Dream is very good at his job. He helps the most popular superhero in the country stay at the top of the charts by being his publicist, manager, research partner, and even his housekeeper. But when Bez accompanies Dr. Dream on his latest dimensional trip, things don’t go quite as expected. Trapped in another dimension with no way home and a version of Dr. Dream he doesn’t recognize, Bez’s latest challenge won’t be surviving the giant sea goddess who has a grudge against him–it’ll be keeping his hands to himself.
A transgay BL/Yaoi story about problematic superheroes, men (and women) with daddy issues, and extremely hot uses of mind control.
Content Warnings
The Hero’s Assistant (Preview/Demo version) contains heavy incestuous themes dealing with an adopted son, his adopted father, and an alternate dimension version of his adopted father who expresses sexual interest in him. There are also implications of mind control. Future parts will expand upon these themes and will only get worse :). The main character is a trans man who uses multi-gendered language to describe his genitals and is implied to have some bottom dysphoria.
I participated in the Hot Wet Queer Summer Jam, one of the few book-specific (let alone nsfw!) jams on itch.io and one I was very excited about because some of my favorite authors are on there. If you don’t know what a jam is, know it’s a time-limited bout of creative chaos, typically with a set of rules. Although this jam was rather long (three months, some jams are 1-3 days mind you), I still submitted with only 2 minutes left on the clock because I couldn’t stop writing.
I had to stop editing and only submit 36,000 words instead of the full 50,000+ I’d actually written. That will be quickly corrected but in the meantime, I figured this would serve as an extremely generous preview to the real thing.
